St Peter's Church of England Primary School

Welcome

Welcome from Mrs Langton, the Headteacher

Welcome to St Peter's Church of England Primary School, Tunbridge Wells

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you find it informative, engaging, and a true reflection of our vibrant school community. We regularly update our content, so please do check back often to stay connected with all that’s happening at St Peter’s.

St Peter’s C of E Primary is a uniquely special school. Nestled in the heart of Hawkenbury, on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, we are proud to serve a wonderfully diverse and welcoming community. Our dedicated staff team works tirelessly to provide an outstanding education for every child, helping them to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our core values—courage, compassion, and respect—are woven into every aspect of school life. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or representing the school in sporting events, these principles guide our actions and shape our culture.

We are home to 210 enthusiastic learners, aged 4 to 11, across seven year groups. Our children are kind, curious, and full of joy—you’ll always be greeted with a smile!

Our purpose-built school building, opened in 2021, offers bright and spacious learning environments, a dedicated forest school area, extensive outdoor grounds, and a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), all designed to support a rich and varied educational experience.

I am incredibly proud of all that we achieve at St Peter’s. Our success is built on the strength of our partnerships—with families, staff, governors, and, most importantly, our children. Thank you for being part of what makes our school so special.

To find out more about our recent achievements, the school newsletters are a great place to start or your can follow this link: School Achievements to read about our sporting and academic outcomes.

Our open days are held in October. We would be delighted to welcome you in person—please don’t hesitate to contact our school office to arrange a visit and experience the St Peter’s community for yourself.

Warm regards,
Joanna Langton
