Athletics club (Delivered by West Kent Athletics Club)
Athletics Club at St Peter’s is delivered by West Kent Athletics Club and gives KS2 pupils a fast‑paced, skills‑focused introduction to the sport. Sessions are built around fun games and technique‑based activities that develop running, jumping and throwing skills in an engaging, age‑appropriate way. Children learn correct form, improve coordination and build confidence through challenges and team‑based tasks, making it an energetic club where older pupils can enjoy progressing their athletic ability while staying active. Choir
The school choir is a welcoming group for pupils who enjoy singing and performing together. Children learn a range of songs, develop vocal confidence, and practise essential musical skills such as harmony, rhythm, and teamwork. The choir regularly prepares pieces for school events and celebrations, giving members the chance to shine and share their hard work with the wider community.
Creative writing club
Creative Writing Club gives KS2 pupils the chance to stretch their imagination and develop their storytelling skills. Each session explores different writing styles, prompts and techniques, helping children craft characters, build worlds and experiment with language. Older pupils are encouraged to refine their ideas, share their work and offer supportive feedback, building confidence as young authors while enjoying a space dedicated to creativity.
Dance club (Delivered by Trinity Dance School)
Dance Club at St Peter’s is run by Trinity Dance and welcomes all children from Years 1–6. The sessions are energetic, inclusive and designed to help pupils learn fun routines, take part in creative dance games and build confidence in their movement skills. Children develop coordination, musicality and technique while enjoying a supportive environment where new starters and all abilities are encouraged. With performance opportunities throughout the year, pupils get the chance to showcase their hard work and celebrate their progress as young dancers. Drawing club
Drawing Club offers a relaxed, supportive space where children can explore different artistic techniques at their own pace. Each session uses tailor‑made videos and creative prompts to guide pupils through step‑by‑step activities, ensuring every child feels confident and included. Whether experimenting with new styles or developing their own ideas, children are encouraged to enjoy the process, express themselves and build their drawing skills week by week.
Drama club (Delivered by Zylo Drama School)
Drama Club at St Peter’s is delivered by Zylo Drama School and offers children in Years 2–6 a lively, confidence‑building introduction to performance. Through games, improvisation, storytelling and character work, pupils develop key skills such as teamwork, creativity, vocal expression and stage presence. Sessions are designed to be fun, supportive and highly engaging, helping children grow in confidence while learning how to communicate clearly, collaborate with others and bring stories to life. Football clubs (Delivered by EMC)
Football Club at St Peter’s is run by EMC Coaching and gives children a high‑quality, energetic introduction to playing “the EMC way.” Each session is split into two groups — Years 1–3 and Years 4–6 — ensuring coaching is age‑appropriate and engaging for all pupils. Children develop core football skills such as passing, shooting, defending, ball manipulation, 1v1 play and teamwork, all within a fun, supportive environment led by fully qualified coaches. Pupils also enjoy small‑sided matches and structured challenges that help build confidence, game understanding and a love of the sport.
Film club
Film Club is a gentle, age‑appropriate introduction to watching and talking about movies for children in KS1. Pupils enjoy short, engaging films and animated stories chosen to suit younger viewers, helping them develop listening skills, imagination and early discussion skills. Each session includes simple conversations about characters, settings and favourite moments, making it a calm and enjoyable end‑of‑day activity for our youngest learners.
Gardening club (Autumn and Summer terms only)
Gardening Club gives KS2 pupils the chance to learn practical outdoor skills while helping to care for the school grounds. Running only in the autumn and summer terms, children take part in seasonal activities such as planting, weeding, watering and harvesting, gaining hands‑on experience of how plants grow and change throughout the year. It’s an enjoyable, active club that encourages responsibility, teamwork and a love of nature.
Gymnastics (Delivered by Gymspire)
Gymnastics Club at St Peter’s is delivered by Gymspire Academy and is open to all children across the school. Their sessions are active, engaging and carefully structured to help pupils develop strength, coordination, balance and confidence through a wide range of gymnastics activities. Children learn skills progressively in a fun, supportive environment, with coaches tailoring sessions so every child can take part, challenge themselves and enjoy moving. Homework club
Homework Club provides a calm, supportive space where pupils can complete their assignments with guidance from staff. Children can work independently or ask for help when needed, ensuring they understand tasks and stay on top of their learning. It’s also a great opportunity to develop good study habits in a relaxed, structured environment.
Judo club (Delivered by Bushido Judo)
Judo Club at St Peter’s is delivered by Bushido Judo School and offers children from Years 1–6 a dynamic, high‑energy introduction to this Olympic martial art. Sessions blend fun multi‑skills activities with core judo techniques, helping pupils develop agility, balance, coordination and overall fitness. Alongside the physical skills, children learn important values such as respect, discipline, self‑control and fair play, building resilience and confidence in a supportive environment. Lego club
Lego Club gives children the chance to get creative with bricks while tackling fun weekly building challenges. Each session encourages imagination, problem‑solving, and teamwork as pupils design and construct models based on a new theme or task. It’s a lively, hands‑on club where children can share ideas, experiment with different builds, and proudly showcase their creations at the end of each week.
Sewing club (Delivered by The Little Sewing School)
Sewing Club at St Peter’s is run by The Little Sewing School and gives KS2 children a fun, hands‑on introduction to using a sewing machine. Pupils learn how to thread and operate the machine safely through simple starter projects, gradually building confidence before moving on to more challenging creations. Each term features exciting makes such as wallets, messenger bags, donut cushions, oodies and seasonal bunting, allowing children to develop practical skills while enjoying the satisfaction of producing something unique and handmade. Yoga and Mindful colouring (KS1 Only)
Yoga and Mindful Colouring Club offers KS1 children a calm, nurturing space to unwind at the end of the day. Pupils take part in simple yoga stretches and breathing exercises designed to help them relax, followed by gentle colouring activities that encourage focus and creativity. The combination supports emotional wellbeing, helping younger children feel settled, centred and ready for the rest of their afternoon.
