Mercury Year 4

Mercury Class 2025-2026

Welcome to Mercury Class, where compassion, courage, and respect guide us every step of the way! We are a lively group of learners who embrace challenges, support one another, and bring positivity to everything we do. Mercury class is made up of 30 enthusiastic 8-9 year olds. They are taught full-time by Mr Knox, and supported by the fabulous team of Miss Abdali, Mrs Creavin and Miss Comer.

In our classroom, learning goes beyond books—we dive into exciting subjects that inspire us. Whether we’re mastering chords in guitar lessons, making a splash in swimming, or embarking on thrilling discoveries, every day is an opportunity to grow and explore.

Our Mercury Class community is built on kindness, bravery, and mutual respect. We celebrate each other’s achievements, work together as a team, and approach new experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Term 1 - Science - Food and Digestion

This term we are learning all about the digestive system. In our first lesson we discussed the different functions of the digestive system and how food from our mouth travels through this system. Our second lesson we discussed how our teeth work and which teeth are used for different things when eating.
