Governor Profiles

Mrs Lock - Chair of Governors

I have been a Governor at St Peter's since 2015, initially as a parent governor and as Chair of Governors since March 2019.

My two sons attended St Peter's and its real strength is its friendly and welcoming ethos in which every child is encouraged and supported to achieve their best.

I am delighted to be able to contribute to the school in this way and I enjoy working with the committed staff, pupils, parents and carers to achieve this aim.

I am a University lecturer teaching law and legal skills to undergraduate and postgraduate students. In my spare time, I enjoy walking in the countryside and a good book.

Mr Atkinson - Vice Chair of Governors

My wife Kate and I have two sons at St Peter's, one in Neptune Class and one in Mars Class.

We live nearby in Hawkenbury.  I look forward to acting as a parent governor and being active in the school community where our sons will be for years to come.

In my day job, I am a commercial disputes solicitor.  I have worked both in private practice and for the Government Legal Department and hope my legal and public sector backgrounds will be of use to the strategic management and accountability aspects of the role of governor.

I have also been an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion at work and I am now Mental Health and Well-being Governor, working closely with Mrs Jenner.

In my spare time, you will find me trying to supervise two energetic boys in Hawkenbury Rec.  Very occasionally, you might find me on the golf course…

Mr Kibby - Chair of Resources

I have lived in Tunbridge Wells since 2011, more latterly close to Dunorlan Park.

I live with my wife and my son who is currently a pupil at St Peter's school.

Following the recent move of the school site to Hawkenbury and the change of Head and Deputy Head Teachers, this is a really exciting time to join the school Governing Board as a Parent Governor and I feel very privileged to have the opportunity.

My employment background is in banking where I currently work for Lloyd's, supporting SME businesses to achieve their goals and aspirations. This experience of supporting business strategy and, of course, finances will be invaluable to my contribution in the Parent Governor role.

I am a keen football fan and enjoy playing sports including golf, squash and tennis. I enjoy live music and a good crime novel.

Foundation Governors

Rev. Warren

I'm married to Sarah, and we’ve lived in Tunbridge Wells on and off for nearly 30 years.

I’ve been Vicar of St Peter's Church since 2004, and as an ex-officio Foundation Governor I have a particular role in ensuring that the Christian ethos of the school is healthy for each child, member of staff and the whole community, whatever their beliefs.

I have a particular interest in and experience of implementing good governance in the voluntary sector.

Mr Peddar

I am married to Lucy, a secondary trained teacher, and we have three young children, two of whom attend St James’ CoE Primary School.

My favourite subjects at school were Economics and Spanish which I went on to study at university. I spent 5 years working in financial services in London before a change of direction in 2012 when Lucy and I moved to Spain. We worked for the Christian student movement in universities in northern Spain and decided to commit to full-time Christian ministry in the long term. We returned to London in 2014 where I studied Theology and then moved to Tunbridge Wells in 2017 where I became Assistant Minister of St Peter’s Church.

I have very much enjoyed getting to know pupils and staff over the past 4 years through my involvement in assemblies and church services at Harvest, Christmas and Easter. I look forward to serving the school in new ways as a foundation governor.

As a family, we enjoy park trips, bike rides and going to the seaside together. I am keen on all kinds of music and enjoy numerous sports from football and tennis to snooker and snowboarding.

Mr Pringle

I live in Tunbridge Wells with my wife Anna, a primary trained teacher, and our three children, two of whom are at St. Peter's School.

At school I enjoyed Maths, Physics, DT & Computer Science and I went on to study the latter at Bristol & Oregon Universities. I've spent the last 17 years working in the Financial Technology industry as a Software Engineer.

I am an active member of St John's Church, Tunbridge Wells and it is a great privilege for me to be able to serve as a Foundation Governor at St. Peter's School.

In my free time I love having fun with my family whether that's building Lego, going camping, bike riding, building things for the garden or walking our dog Maisy.

Local Authority Governor

Mrs Lock

I have been a Governor at St Peter's since 2015, initially as a parent governor and as Chair of Governors since March 2019.

Parent Governors

Mrs Greenaway

My family and I moved from Australia in late 2020 (Yes, peak COVID. No, it wasn’t fun), with our eldest beginning Reception almost straight off the plane! I joined St Peter’s PTA in 2021 and became Chair in 2023.
With both our boys now at St Peters, I have developed a unique understanding and perspective of the school, built amazing relationships with the wonderful staff, parents/carers, and students alike and am excited to continue to contribute to the school and its future as a Parent Governor.
I have over 20 years’ experience spanning across Conference, Event, Operational and Administrative management and am currently Operations Administrator for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
I’m not sure what spare time is anymore however my weekends are generally spent fighting the losing battle of wearing our boys out and cheering for them on the (freezing) sidelines at TWRFC.

Mr Pratt

I live in Hawkenbury with my wife and two children. My eldest son is in Year 2 at St Peter's whilst my youngest son is hoping to start at St Peter's in September 2026.

I have been a secondary school history teacher for over 15 years, and I am currently the Head of History and Politics at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys, where I have been for nearly ten years.

Becoming a parent governor appealed to me as I have always believed in the positive impact which schools and teachers have in society and I am keen to explore the important role a parent governor can play in supporting schools to be the best they can be for staff, pupils and the parent community.

When I am outside the classroom and not looking after two energetic boys, you will find me enjoying running on my own or with runners from a local running club called Tunbridge Wells Harriers. I also enjoy reading and browsing in second hand bookshops. Finally, I play and follow a mixture of different sports including football, squash and cycling.

I look forward to learning more as a parent governor and supporting the school.

Ms Tucker

I grew up in Tunbridge Wells and returned to the local area with my family in 2012, having studied, lived and worked in Surrey for several years.

I have worked in various roles in Human Resources for the past 25 years across both public and private sectors.  With this work experience, alongside an interest in supporting SEND needs in education, I am looking forward to making a positive contribution in my role as Governor.

I have two teenage children who keep me very busy but in any spare time I have, I enjoy a walk in the countryside and a good book or film.
